No, not really.
But I am going to complete a completely unnecessary survey for your entertainment. Annoyance. Whichever you choose.
Artist Baton】
◆Your name?
Keep it short. Aeon.
◆If possible, your age?
I am sixteen.
◆When did you start drawing?
Umm. I do not know... but I have been.
◆Which hand do you use for drawing?
I am not ambidextrous. So choose, one or the other. You have a 50% chance of getting it!
◆Which is easier to draw - male or female?
Iunno. They are both human figures, unique and interesting in their own way. It is like asking me to compare which instrument is harder, piano or violin.
◆Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?
Short hair. It requires more neatness and the presence of a perfect hairline, which I hate, both in real life and in art.
◆Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?
Well, technically, they are both the same. But because of the hand I use, one side is slightly easier than the other.
◆Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?
Neither. I hate symmetry and awkward-perfect-side/front view-ness. I always tilt the head somewhat. Well, not always. I lie... I still do front views quite often.
◆What problems do you have in drawing?
Count to a million and multiply by the biggest number you can think of, and then square it.
Anyways. Mostly proportion. I am not a complete suicidal idiot when it comes to realism, mostly because I know I cannot really do such things, but I always, always kill myself when it comes to proportion.
Stupid, really, because it never works.
And then, of course, I am a detail-oriented person in art, so...
And with technicals,
one HUGE problem is the lack of a tablet, the fact there is NOT a "ctrl-Z" maneuver in real life, and my hands have no precision at all.
I could rant forever, but you would lose interest.
Proceed.
◆What do you like to draw?
Pretty things people like to look at.
For example, dead stuff. Zombified humans. A girl chained up in the midst of hell and pitch-black bubbly stuff rising up from the ground to eat her.
...why are you staring at me?
◆Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?
TRADITION.
al.
Well, mix. Cause I pencil and paper, and then photoshop for color.
◆Where do you start drawing from?
Head to toe, then add arms. Or head to hips, arms, the attach legs in segments.
Head first, though. Always. Least painful way to die.
Easiest way to capture the essence of a character from the start.
◆What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?
I disagree with you, Dar. Heads first. My drawing habit is that I take a lot of breaks, yell at people, annoy teachers, read books, watch TV, play video games, and go to the bathroom a lot during the entire process. It works for me, though.
◆What do you keep in mind when you do lineart?
I keep my visionary in my mind. And the passion in my heart.
Then good pictures that I hope to draw on paper never come.
◆Any tips for coloring/shading?
No.
◆How long does it take to finish a piece of art?
I do not know anymore. It used to be really quick. But now, since I have progressed such a long way from before, I take my time. A lot of time.
◆What music do you listen to while you draw?
Music. Music. I think just about anything that does not turn my brain into hot wax works. So no country or death-metal-screechy-scream-out-your-lungs music.
◆How long does it take you to come up with an idea?
Spontaneously, so as soon as I have inspiration.
Unfortunately, the idea is always fluid, and keeps changing as I keep it in my head. And I come out with ideas faster than I put them down on paper, so that is kinda a stupid thing, too.
◆Your favorite drawing utensils?
Pencil. Paper. Clipboard. Kneaded eraser. Pink Pearl eraser. Blood. Death...
...the last two are often optional.
◆Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?
Blue. Grey. Either one.
◆Your favorite style(s)?
Eh... mine. I am often inspired by :etoli: and the artists of the sort.
◆Are you satisfied with your current art?
No. Heck no. Are you kidding me?
◆What kind of artist are you aiming for?
THE KIND THAT WILL NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!!
Well, not really. Just me.
◆Thank you. Now please fill in the next columns by writing the names of the artists that match the criteria. Artists tagged must fill in this baton.
I REFUSE TO TAG CAUSE ONLY PEOPLE WHO WANT TO DO IT WILL DO IT.
IMMA TAKE MY VACATION NOW SO GOOD RIDDANCE.
And best wishes.
